Appointments

We consult by appointment only. Please phone or drop in to arrange a suitable appointment. We guarantee to see you within 15 minutes of your appointment time. If circumstances dictate that this cannot be achieved, we pledge to discount your bill by 15% as a thank you for your patience.

In-Patient Care

For any animals needing to be hospitalised at Tower Vets, the duty vet and nurse do not stay on the premises through-out the night, but will regularly monitor inpatients based on their clinical needs. We can arrange for transfer to Vets Now for 24 hour nursing if requested.

Out of Hours

We know your pet can become ill or suffer accidents at any time. To make sure you have access to high quality care at night, weekends and bank holidays, we have chosen to partner with Vets Now, the leading provider of Out of Hours care.

Vets Now take over from us when we close in the evenings at 7pm and at the weekends from 4pm on Saturday onwards.

Repeat Prescriptions

  • Prescriptions are available from this practice.
  • You may obtain Prescription Only Medicines, Category V, (POM-Vs) from your veterinary surgeon
  • OR ask for a written prescription and obtain these medicines from another veterinary surgeon or a pharmacy.
  • Your veterinary surgeon may prescribe POM-Vs only for animals under their care.
  • A prescription may not be appropriate if your animal is an in-patient or immediate care is necessary.
  • You will be informed, on request, of the price of any medicine that may be dispensed for your animal.
  • The general policy of this practice is to re-assess an animal requiring repeat prescriptions every 3 months, but this may vary with individual circumstances. The standard charge for a re-examination is £45.80.
  • The charge for a written prescription is £24.50.
